LAN Admin Update

I landed a job as a LAN Admin and everything in my life keeps getting better. I really blame this on returning to my own energy, and I have a lot to thank in my new roommates and my pretty stellar partner. I joined a guild, or a cult, depending on who you are. It's fantastic and I was meant for community life.

I'm feeling like my old version of myself who never settles for less, only a little more mature and yes, there's more back pain now.

Working as an actual "IT guy," I have discovered a lot of quick-thought tech tips and wanted to share one:

-Connecting printers is way easier than I ever assumed, especially though IP addresses. IP addresses are like little parking spaces. Maybe you've got one: look at the light LED screen on your printer and see if it shows a series of four numbers like this XX.XX.XX.XX. For instance 10.3.69.69 (lol, nice). You would connect the printer using this "parking space" number.

-Another easy mystery is drivers... this always confused people, but now that I do this literally daily, it's like... type in your make and model of printer then find the TWAIN file. Das it.

This all seems really simple, maybe just to me, but it really doesn't feel so easy for others.

Anyway, I thought I had some opportunities in Healthcare but the management and direction was a mess. I'll keep my mind open to anything but this is not the final stop, and it never is, until I'm dead one day.

For now I'm looking toward getting my Network+ and Security+ certifications. I'll keep getting certified until my name reads "Engineer" because why not? I have no choice not to prove to myself that I can do this when I focus my hard work and dilligent mind to something.

Cheers, alligator tears.
